Put a Form on Your Site
There are many reasons to put a form on your website:
- Collect names & addresses for a print newsletter or a give-away;
- Invite people to contact you with questions;
- Ask visitors for their opinions;
- Let customers sign up for a class;
- Make it easy for customers to set up an appointment with you...
But, forms can also be a headache, because spammers like to send junk through them -- and spammers try to exploit form-to-email scripts to send out spam.
The solution?
"Wufoo" is a funny name, but the service is great! Wufoo is a Form-to-Email service. They host the form. They host the script. That means security is their problem. :)
They send you a very nicely formatted email with your results. They also collect and store the form data You can download the collected data as a .CSV or an Excel spreadsheet.
They even tabulate the results in pretty charts and graphs. :)
If your form has less than 10 fields, and less than 100 responses per month, Wufoo is FREE. Yes, free! -- and it works, we use it ourselves.
Check out Wufoo here.
(Note, we don't get any kickbacks from recommending them. We suggest them simply because we like 'em.)
